The Bronchoscopus Rex Slim prototoypes significantly outperformed currently marketed single-use slim bronchoscopes.
The Bronchoscopus Rex Slim prototypes provide ~371% more suction power than the next best tested slim bronchoscope.
The Bronchoscopus Rex Regular prototoypes significantly outperformed currently marketed single-use regular bronchoscopes.
The Bronchoscopus Rex Regular prototype with built-in suction provides ~445% more suction power than the next best tested regular bronchoscope.
The Bronchoscopus Rex Regular prototype without built-in suction provides ~275% more suction power than the next best tested regular bronchoscope.
The Bronchoscopus Rex Large prototypes significantly outperformed currently marketed single-use large bronchoscopes.
The Bronchoscopus Rex Large prototype with built-in suction provides ~316% more suction power than the next best tested large bronchoscope.
The Bronchoscopus Rex Large prototype without built-in suction provides ~113% more suction power than the next best tested large bronchoscope.
A Quick Look at Our Prototypes Displaying Suctioning and Flexion Capabilities
With built-in suction, the Bronchoscopus Rex offers greater suction capability than any competitive bronchoscope. In regular and large scopes, the built-in suction feature provides a significant increase in suction power! Procedural duration can be reduced and therapeutic removal of thick secretions and blood clots can be achieved more efficiently. Smaller diameter scopes can be used with same effect in place of larger scopes. Suction pressures can adjusted to range from 0 to -400 mmHg.
In versions featuring built-in suction, no tubing is required to connect to an external suction source. Therefore, less time and cost are needed for a bronchoscopy procedure. Additionally, the bronchoscopy field can be decluttered.
Collection containers can be rapidly mounted and dismounted to collect fluid specimen.
No longer do you need to change the suction pressure at the wall outlet! In versions featuring built-in suction, Bronchoscopus Rex features a built-in suction regulator with an adjustable dial.
Our built-in suction pump will not clog or lose performance! It is never in contact with fluids or material suctioned during bronchoscopy.
Additional features have been designed, but not yet fully implemented. As an example, we are aiming to be the first to provide a slim scope that can allow passage of instruments such as biopsy forceps, while also providing equivalent to better suctioning than most regular bronchoscopes.
